Custom Lighting Design for a Residential Project 23. June 2026

From the ideas of Hefti Planung GmbH and close collaboration with RIBAG, a seamless lighting concept was created that harmonises functionality, atmosphere, and architecture. The lighting solutions were precisely tailored to the individual living areas, creating a cohesive overall impression with high design and functional quality.

A prime example of the project's design calibre is the kitchen, where a combination of surface-mounted and pendant luminaires reconciles distinct requirements into a unified lighting solution that integrates seamlessly into the overall concept.

High-specification Milum downlights in the right-hand work area, asymmetric Milum wallwashers providing targeted light distribution for the cabinets on the left, and centrally positioned KIVO luminaires ensure precise illumination whilst purposefully accentuating the architecture. This creates tailored lighting scenes that satisfy both functional and aesthetic demands. Furthermore, the three functionally distinct zones can be controlled independently.

The ultimate client's immense trust made it possible to further develop the concept collaboratively and introduce additional highlights. Among these is an impressive chandelier in the stairwell, serving as a striking design feature.

Thanks to the close collaboration between all parties involved, particularly the client, the lighting design team, and the excellent workmanship of the installers, Schibli AG from Küsnacht, a lighting solution was achieved that convincingly combines architecture, design, and quality of living.
