You chose to manufacture KLEEN from a single piece of aluminium. Why?
Aluminium is a great material: lightweight, malleable, and of high quality - both technically and visually. It fulfills two essential requirements: it ensures optimal heat dissipation while also giving the lamp the necessary presence within the space. The challenge was to develop a form that is reduced to the essentials yet still conveys character and expression.
Light as a design element
The building is flooded with natural light and has a smart lighting system that allows employees to flexibly adapt the artificial lighting to the daylight and their personal mood. This dynamic lighting control not only creates a pleasant working environment, but also an atmosphere that changes continuously with the natural light throughout the day. In this way, the light becomes an active part of the sense of space. «With the combination of lens and micro-reflector technology of the VIOR, we were able to create both direct, brilliant ambient light and soft, indirect accent light for the wheels with one discreet lamp. Thanks to their elements and the soft, glare-free light, the KIVO pendant lamp could be seamlessly integrated into the design and lighting language», explains Malte Kummrow, Senior Lighting Designer at team licht.

Filigree elegance for the catering sector
On the upper floor, the in-house company restaurant «s'Rädle» invites you to enjoy a cozy get-together. Here, too, nomen est omen — the name says it all. Round, variously sized filaments made of carbon fibers decorate the ceiling around the light-filled inner courtyard. These are complemented by black, color-coordinated KIVO pendant lamps with interchangeable oak shades. The lighting creates a warm, inviting atmosphere and beautifully highlights the «floating wheels». The circular design language is used here in a varied and playful way. Special lamps accentuate the fine wheel elements with indirect lighting, while the brilliant direct light of the KIVO lamps, with their high color rendering, showcases the culinary creations on the plates in the best possible light.
Effect in the evening hours
The lighting design not only meets functional requirements but also forms an integral part of the architectural narrative. Design and lighting are seamlessly interwoven, creating a consistently harmonious overall impression.
